So yeah, it's that time again, it's Fashion Week time! We're going to see till march the new Autumn/ Winter Collections for 2014. It's actually the first time I really spent time watching the shows and browsing through the pics... Well, I'm going to make some collages of my favorite shows and upcoming trends. The first Fashion Week took place in Berlin and I fairly like more shows than expected. Even if the city is considered as a fashion metropole they have the shittiest designers and collections to be honest. Most of the pieces are anything except new or inovative, niether trendy and
stylish.. Yes, it may sound hard, but we all know, that this is the truth. Berlin's fashion week isn't yet so developed in my opinion. I read a lot critics about it; too much unknown and bugging celebrity's, "fun fair atmosphere" (Vice) and everybody fighting over goodie bags and free champagne. Nevertheless, there were some fashion shows, which were awesome. My favorite show was definetly Lala Berlin. Inspired by the early punk era, the collection stayed familarly cool, edgy, modern and really really urban. Leather, lace, metallics, marble patterns and some truly heavy knits are the key pieces of this lovely A/W collection.
Shows I also really liked were the ones from Schuhmacher and from GLOW. Schuhmacher's designs appeal rough, straight and emit a androgynous touch. I like it!! Mini (leather) skirts, the (questionable) colorful fur (which I'm a big fan of tbh) and the oversized sweatshirts and coats are going to be the grungy trend pieces. Glaw does it well, too! Rock-glam atmosphere thanks to the chic leather pants and the pointed wedges (reminds me a bit of Saint Laurent). As we can see, leather, lace, boxy dresses, shirts etc., fur and metallic fabrics are going to remain until the next winter season. Luckily.
